The Cavan Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Limited (CAVAN SPCA) is a charitable organization dedicated to improving the lives of animals in Cavan, Co. Cavan, and the surrounding areas. We are passionate about preventing animal cruelty and promoting animal welfare within our community.
Our dedicated team of volunteers and supporters works tirelessly to:
Investigate and prevent animal cruelty: We respond to reports of animal abuse and neglect, working with local authorities to ensure justice for abused animals.
Provide care for animals in need: We rescue and rehabilitate animals suffering from neglect, abuse, or abandonment, providing essential veterinary care, food, and shelter.
Educate the community: We conduct school talks and community outreach programs to raise awareness about animal welfare issues, promote responsible pet ownership, and prevent cruelty.
Promote spaying/neutering: We advocate for and support spaying/neutering programs to help reduce pet overpopulation and prevent unwanted litters.

Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation:
Responding to reports of animal cruelty and neglect.
Providing temporary shelter, food, and veterinary care to rescued animals.
Rehabilitating animals physically and emotionally to prepare them for rehoming.
Rehoming:
Carefully screening potential adopters to ensure suitable forever homes for our animals.
Providing post-adoption support to both adopters and animals.
Community Outreach & Education:
Conducting school visits and community presentations to raise awareness about animal welfare.
Participating in local events to educate the public about responsible pet ownership.
Cruelty Investigation:
Investigating reports of animal cruelty and working with relevant authorities to ensure justice for abused animals.
Spay/Neuter Programs:
Promoting and supporting low-cost spay/neuter services to help reduce pet overpopulation.
Advocacy:
Advocating for stronger animal welfare laws and regulations at the local and national level.
